FEEL THE HEAT

Swish! Kaplonk! Swish! Don't mind me, I'm just playing basketball here. Hahaha no not really. If I was really playing, I wouldn't be writing. For those who don't know, basketball is a sport that involves shooting a ball into a basket. It's that simple. Still lost? You should Google it. Even better yet, search up "the Miami Heat 2013 Finals Game 7 versus the San Antonio Spurs" on Youtube. Bam! You've just been exposed to best basketball game so far in history!
So let's focus on the Miami Heat now. It all started in 1988 (flashback music), the NBA had finally given Miami the chance to start a basketball franchise. The name was actually chosen by fans in a contest. Some of the entries were: Sharks, Barracudas, Heat, Suntan, Shade, etc. Heat was their best option. I mean think about it, when I say Miami, what's the first word that pops in your head? Heat! Hot! Mild! Bipolar weather! Beaches! HEAT! So, at the end of it all, the Miami Heat was born. (1988)
The Heat has had seven coaches since the first season. Coach Erik Spoelstra is the current coach and has been with the team since the 2008-2009 season. Their home arena is the American Airlines Arena where we recently won our first back to back championship which gave us our third NBA championship. They've also retired four jersey numbers including number 23 which belonged to Michael Jordan. The big three right now are MVP Dwyane Wads, Chris Bosh and 2x MVP LeBron James. Let's not forget to mention their mascot Burnie and their cheerleaders, the Miami Heat Dancers.
Now that you know the basics, you should watch the magic happen. We are currently in the preseason games. The next game will be on October 23 at 8:00 pm against the New Orleans Pelicans. It's time to REHEAT!
